The replacement of 151,000 Streetlight Lamps and or luminaires for Essential Energy Australia’s largest power supply network covering 95 per cent of New South Wales land mass.
CORE REQUIREMENTS
- Replacement of Streetlight Lamps and or luminaires in 101 Local Government areas across the Essential Energy franchise area
- Replacement of streetlight lamps and PE cells including luminaire cleaning and maintenance, rewiring, data management, night audits and subsequent rectification of non-working streetlights found, and traffic control
RESULTS
- Successfully completed year 1 of the program replacing 40,000 streetlight lamps across 67 local government areas and 11,000 LED upgrades in the Tamworth and Eurobodalla regions
- Successfully recruited, trained and mobilised multiple portable work teams across vast geographical regions to conduct works in various remote locations on the Essential Energy Network
- Developed and implemented a data capture and works management IT platform to provide up to date work progress and changed asset information detail to Essential Energy
- Recycling of all replacement lamps, luminaire metals/plastics and cardboard packaging
CHALLENGES
- Managing the risk of fatigue/complacency in an extremely substantial risk/high volume, repetitious program of works across a vast/remote geographical landscape
- Development and implementation of field inspection application and data management software to enable accurate data capture/ management, reporting and integration of high volume/detailed streetlight asset information
- Development and management of stakeholder management framework to enable effective customer relations for high volume of customer interactions
- Transportation and logistics of large volumes of lamp and luminaire stock throughout the sparse geographical Essential Energy franchise area
